BAPTISM at LOCAL CITY
We believe water baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Being lowered into the water and being raised again symbolizes death to our old way of life and entering into a new way of living in Christ.
It is an outward expression of what Christ has already done in our heart. It signifies three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are choosing to live differently than you used to, and you are part of a new family; the family of God.
